Titicaca Lake – Copacabana

Wojciech Szypula´s testimony: Languages are shaped by the people and places from which they originate. To truly master a language, one must immerse themselves in the environment where it was born and continues to thrive. CLIMAL Language Institute understands this well and offers specially designed trips to relevant locations as part of its Spanish, Quechua, and Aymara language courses, to create this essential connection between the classroom learning and the language living context.

In the course of my Spanish language course, I have participated in three trips organized by CLIMAL, each providing a unique and enriching experience.

The first was a two-day journey to La Paz and Copacabana, a mystical adventure to the top of the world. La Paz, the highest capital city, and the ancient town of Copacabana are set against the backdrop of the mythical Lake Titicaca, said to have been born from the tears of a goddess

mourning her suffering children. This trip included a boat journey to the mystical Isla del Sol,

offering an unparalleled opportunity to connect with the mystical world of the ancient Incas, a

civilization that laid the foundation for modern Bolivia. We could even hope to catch a glimpse of

the cosmic aliens rumored to dwell in the depths of the turquoise, crystal-clear lake.
